Jackson Refutes 2012 Hobbit Date, Talks Blu-Ray

In an interview with Collider, The Hobbit Executive Producer and Writer Peter Jackson refutes internet rumors that the film was going to be released in 2012 due to production being delayed by three months. He also briefly discusses the release of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy on Blu-ray. Long story short, the film is on track for December 2011 release of the first movie and he has approved the Blu-ray edition of LOTR (theatrical edition) but doesn't know when it will be released.
