New Trailer for The Hobbit With Gravity?

It has been a while since any The Hobbit news worth reporting about. Finally something has broke with The One Ring reporting the next trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug will be attached to Gravity when the movie is released on October 4. The info is from an anonymous source but the logic is pretty solid as Gravity is the only film that Warner Bros is releasing to theaters before The Hobbit. Generally speaking, the studios prefer to promote their own movies with their movies whenever possible and news of a Hobbit trailer might goose the ticket sales of Gravity which is probably going to be part of WB's Oscar campaign next year. The info is also supported by Russian website Henneth-Annun.ru.
The new trailer for “The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug” will premiere at the very beginning of October. The trailer is labeled “Trailer #3″ (with #2 being an abridged version of Trailer #1). The release will most likely happen simultaneously throughout the world. However, not every country will get a dubbed version immediately; the Russian version, for example, will be first released in English with subtitles.

The Trailer #3 is entirely new and not a re-edit of the previous trailer (although it shares some shots). The editing is finished; right now it is undergoing color correction and effects work.
